Wall Sconce – Rowan Tree
An exclusive design for Òr, this wall sconce is part of an exciting collaboration with Pantry Pots and our founder Jen. It's perfect for Christmas decorating and continuing to display into the new year.
We worked closely with Pantry Pots owner, Veronika, to create the unique rowan tree design, taking inspiration from Scottish traditions where rowan branches would be burned at Christmas to cleanse away any negativity for the festive season.
A crimson red was chosen for it's link to the symbolic rowan tree and its bright berries, a reminder of this heritage and tradition during one of the most sacred times of the year.
Both functional and beautiful, this sconce is perfect for displaying as an artwork in itself or for lighting one of our four-inch small stubby beeswax candles.
Veronika hand-throws every stoneware wall sconce from her studio in London then expertly paints the rowan tree on each piece by hand.
