Tall Tumbler – Crab
This beautiful hand-thrown tumbler is crafted by Lucy Anderson from Something To Cry About, a garden pottery studio based just around the corner from our shops here in Portree, Isle of Skye.
Lucy's tumblers are each individually thrown on the wheel in small batches, then bisque fired and hand-painted with a sea creature design and the Gaelic word for 'crab' in a deep blue oxide glaze, before heading to the kiln once more for its final firing. The speckled stoneware clay used gives each tumbler a slightly textured, rustic look.
As every tumbler is handmade no two will be exactly the same, which makes every one unique and adds to their charm.
Measures approximately D6.5 x H9cm.
