Phillipa used to live and work on the Isle of Skye before moving south to Bristol, but she still makes regular trips back to the island for inspiration. This particular piece depicts Skye's tidal island of Oronsay, a quiet, secluded spot which can be reached on the west coast.
This bold, five-colour lino artwork is created using a relief printing process which involves carving a block of lino, then printing each layer individually. For each print, the ink is mixed by hand which means there are variations in colour that make every artwork completely unique.
Printed onto heavyweight paper and hand signed by the artist. Measures approximately 35 x 50cm.
Comes unframed and packaged flat on a board wrapped in eco-friendly cellophane or rolled in a tube.
