Frilly Stoneware Plant Pot & Saucer
A frilly-rimmed plant pot and drip tray saucer hand-thrown on the wheel then hand-stamped with the maker's signature, waxed, then dipped individually into a glossy transparent glaze before its final firing.
There's a drainage hole in the base of the saucer and it's brushed with a water repellent coating to make it more resistant to weathering, whether it's used indoors or out.
Crafted by Paige Mitchell in her Norwich-based studio, her ideas are developed through gardening, sketchbook drawing, and both wheel thrown and hand-built ceramics. Her designs come to life in the top floor of her independent lifestyle store called Elm which she founded 2017.
Pot measures approximately H12 x W11cm; saucer measures H2 x W11cm.
Try not to leave the saucer standing in water and be wary when filling with tap water as this may create salt crystals. In this instance, simply wipe them away. Due to the unglazed nature of these pots, they will develop a natural patina and aged look with time.
As each pot is handmade it means no two are exactly alike; a uniqueness which only adds to their charm.
